Nyadak Duckie Thot stole everyone’s hearts when she competed in Australia’s Next Top Model a few years ago at the age of 17. But she disappeared for two years and she really didn’t leave any of her fans with a reason why. Now she’s back with those answers.
The Australian and Sudanese model came back with a splash, though. She posted a picture of herself on Twitter with the caption, “Ducks after dark.” She was in an elegant dress. But the comments she got weren’t about her dress. They were unreal.
Duckie Thot Mistaken For A Barbie
People literally thought she was a Barbie doll. When you look at the picture, what do you see? Do you think she looks real at all? It’s almost uncanny, isn’t it?
Taking it all in stride, Duckie tweeted after all that attention, “Yeah…we need a Duckie Barbie doll. @Barbie what’s good?” And you know you have to love that attitude! It takes confidence like that to be a model who is always going to be pushed out in front of people to be judged by totally different standards than the rest of the world.
Duckie Thot And The Interesting Reaction She Got
But that’s the thing about Duckie! She might have been bullied, but she didn’t let it get her down. She’s back and with a passion. She’s doing what she loves and that’s just for now.
Who knows how far she can go with her career? You can’t let online bullying get you down. It’s just people behind a keyboard or a mobile device. It’s easy to say harsh things and to act like a troll when you have a device to hide behind. Facing it and doing you despite all that is the challenge that is much more rewarding.
