In this day and age, people are obsessed with the royal family and every little detail about them, so it’s no surprise Marie Claire put out a beauty report detailing each scent Diana, Kate, and the queen wore on their wedding days. If we can’t be them, at least we can smell like them.
For Kate Middleton’s highly anticipated wedding, the radiant bride completed her ensemble with a touch of White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum ($105 a bottle on Amazon). Clarence House confirmed this was her perfume for the auspicious day, while Luckyscent described, the “delicate and refined” perfume to be “as fragrant as a vase of white flowers, quivering in the breeze by an open window.”
For Diana’s royal wedding, she spritzed on some Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant Paris ($600 for a 3.4-oz bottle at Bergdorf Goodman), according to Brides. It was also reported that she spilled some of the bergamot, galbanum, tarragon and lemon scented perfume on her dress right before exiting the carriage, leading some to believe it was a sign of what was to come in her marriage to Prince Charles.
While the queen’s royal scent has never been officially confirmed, a source has reported that Floris is the only British fragrance company whose scent she wears. In honor of her birthday, Floris created a specially tailored scent for the queen. With notes of iris, rose, jasmine, and violet, you too can smell like Her Royal Highness ($100 on Amazon).
